  1. Heat up a pot on the stove to medium high heat and add in your butter.
  2. After a minute or so add your onions, garlic, Cumin and Tumeric; and let it heat up baby! *If when you drop a small piece of onion in and it sizzles then you are ready to cook.
  3. After a few minutes add in your one cup of dry rice so we can just slightly toast them for an amazing flavor!
  4. Toast the rice on medium high heat for about 2 minutes then add your chicken broth(water) and bay leaf on top.
  5. Bring it to a slight boil then turn your heat to low and cover to let cook for 20 minutes.
  6. After the 20 minutes remove from the heat and while remaining covered let your rice sit for 10 minutes before sticking a fork in and fluffing the rice a bit. Yellow Rice is now in your cooking vocabulary congrats!
