Sautéed Kale Tuna Salad $0.90
Healthfully yummy is how I would best describe this dish! I know I know, when you read kale you probably weren’t overly excited to try this recipe but from one former kale protester to another, I gave this a try after hearing about all the benefits of kale and now I really love this stuff; and I bet you guys will too. At only $0.90 per meal it’s packed full of good fats and proteins for a healthy mind and body!

  1. Heat skillet on medium high heat on stove top. Add olive in oil and let warm for 30 seconds before adding in your chopped onion and garlic to heat up for a couple of minutes.
  2. Make sure you de-stem your kale because you don’t want to bite into one of those nasty little guys! Okay now then, add in your kale and reduce heat to about medium but just sort of watch out for any burning just in case and then cover with a lid.
  3. Go ahead and let it cook for about 10 minutes; we have already sautéed this dish and now we are basically steam cooking it.
  4. Now would be a dandy good time to add your tuna(optional). If you wish you can add the your tuna into the pot about five minutes before it’s finished cooking but I prefer this method. Your sautéed kale and tuna salad is done enjoy!
